How to play
Click Start Air Drum Kit and allow camera access. The model loads once (~5 MB), then tracks both your hands in real time. Swing a finger into a drum circle like a drumstick to hit it. Rest a finger inside and it'll keep sounding. Both hands work independently.
Best on a big screen
This tool was built to be cast to a TV or external monitor — plug a laptop into a big screen, sit on the couch with your laptop's webcam, and play from across the room. Works just as well on a phone held steady in landscape.
The 7 drums
Kick — bottom center, big pink circle. Bass thud.Snare — left of center, mid-height. Sharp crack.Hi-Hat — top-left, small. Tight metallic tick.Tom Hi — right of center, mid-height. Mid-pitch tom.Tom Low — top-right, small. Lower-pitched tom.Crash — top center-left. Long, washy cymbal.Ride — top center-right. Bright, sustained cymbal.
Tips
Sit so your whole upper body is in frame — shoulders to hands.
Even, front-facing lighting on your face helps the hand tracker lock on faster.
Use quick, decisive flicks for a "bang"; slow rests keep a drum rolling.
If a hand stops responding, move it out of frame and back in to reset.
Does it upload anything?
No. The camera feed, the hand-tracking model, and the drum sounds all stay in this browser tab. Close the tab and the camera turns off — there's nothing on a server to delete.
