AR Distance Measure Tool
Point your camera at a surface, tap twice, and get the real-world distance between those two points — no tape measure needed.
Android + Chrome only (needs ARCore)How to measure
Tap "Start AR" and grant camera access. Slowly move your phone until a surface is detected (you'll see a small ring on the floor or wall). Tap once to place your first point, then tap a second location to place the end point — the distance between them appears at the top of the view instantly.
Frequently asked questions
Why does this only work on some phones?
AR measuring needs WebXR with surface detection, currently only in Chrome on Android with ARCore installed. iPhone Safari doesn't support WebXR AR sessions.
How accurate is it?
Usually within a few centimeters in good lighting on a textured surface. Plain white walls, glass, mirrors, and dim lighting reduce accuracy since tracking relies on visual features.
Do I need to install an app?
No — just Google Play Services for AR, which most modern Android phones already have. The tool itself runs in the browser.
