How the background remover works

The tool uses MediaPipe Selfie Segmentation to estimate which pixels belong to the foreground person. The segmentation mask is combined with the source image using the HTML Canvas API. Pixels classified as background are made transparent, producing a PNG that can be used in designs, profile graphics, presentations and other projects.

Image quality tips

Privacy and limitations

The page processes the selected image in your browser and does not require a Slopbin account or a server-side upload. Processing can use significant CPU/GPU resources on large images. Because this version uses a person-oriented segmentation model, it is not intended to be a universal product, object or logo background remover.
