WebM or MP4 — which should I pick?
WebM is the format browsers record natively and always works. MP4 is repackaged in your browser for better compatibility with phones and video editors. If the MP4 option fails on your device, use WebM.
Which browsers support screen recording?
Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Opera on desktop. Safari and most mobile browsers don't support it yet — on phones, use a native screen-recorder app instead.
Can I record a video call or a game?
Yes. In the picker, choose the tab or window running it. For the sound of a video or game, select the tab and turn on “Share tab audio”. To narrate with your voice, pick Microphone audio above.
