Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install an app?
No. Both sides run in the browser — current Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.
Is the video uploaded to a server?
No. Video goes directly between your devices over a peer-to-peer WebRTC connection. A free signaling service is used only to introduce the two browsers.
Does the camera phone need to stay awake?
The page keeps the phone screen awake while the camera runs. Keep the phone plugged in for long sessions — live camera streaming uses battery.
Why can the other device not connect?
Some restrictive networks block direct WebRTC. Keep both devices online and try current Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari; a mobile hotspot is a good fallback.
