How to mirror a screen
- Select Start screen sharing on the device whose screen you want to share.
- Choose a tab, window, or entire screen in the browser’s sharing picker.
- Scan the private QR code on the receiving device, or open the join link.
- Keep the host tab open while you share. Stop sharing whenever you are done.

Privacy, connection, and limits
Screen Mirror asks the host browser for permission before it can capture anything. Choose only the tab, window, or screen you intend to share, and avoid showing sensitive information.
Video is sent browser-to-browser with WebRTC when a direct route is available. This static tool uses PeerJS Cloud solely to help the two browsers find each other; it is not a recording or storage service. Direct WebRTC may fail on restrictive work, school, hotel, or mobile networks because this deployment has no dedicated TURN relay. The host controls the session and can stop it at any time.

Do viewers need an app or account?
No. They scan the QR code or open the private join link in a current browser.
Can I share system audio?
Sometimes. Audio availability depends on the browser, operating system, and the choice you make in the browser’s share picker. Screen video works even when audio is unavailable.
Why does the receiving device say it cannot connect?
Use current Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari, keep both pages open, and try a less restrictive network. Some networks block the direct WebRTC connection this privacy-focused static version needs.
