Vote Live

Live polls without the hassle.

Create a question, show a QR code or join code, and let people vote from their phones. One phone can host; a tablet, laptop, or big screen is optional.

How Vote Live works

  1. Create a session and publish one or more questions.
  2. Show the QR code, share the link, or give people the short join code.
  3. Participants open a dedicated voting page and receive the active question.
  4. Votes reach the host through a live browser-to-browser WebRTC connection and the host tally updates.

Built for audience voting

Use yes/no, true/false, multiple choice, multiple select, ratings, emoji, this-or-that, agree scales, rankings, short answers, and numbers.

Host anywhere

Run a quick group choice from one phone, facilitate a classroom from a laptop, or show the QR code on a projector.

Privacy and connection limits

Vote Live does not require participant accounts and it does not create a central vote-results database. The host browser holds the poll and tally for the active session.

To let two browsers find each other, this static version uses the public PeerJS Cloud signaling service for a short connection setup. After setup, vote messages use WebRTC data channels. Some restrictive networks may require WebRTC relay infrastructure, and a session ends when its host page closes. Do not use it for high-stakes, regulated, or secret ballots.

Frequently asked questions

Do participants need an app or account?

No. They scan the QR code or open the join link in a current browser.

Will a QR scan show the actual voting screen?

Yes. The link opens the participant page, connects to the host, and displays the host’s active question.

Can I run more than one question?

Yes. Add questions in the host view and move forward or back while the session remains open.
