How it works

  1. One person opens Host and casts the screen to the TV (or just props up the phone).
  2. Everyone scans the QR code and gets a secret role on their own phone.
  3. At night, mafia / doctor / detective act secretly on their phones. By day, everyone chats and votes.
  4. Town wins when all mafia are out; mafia win when they equal the town.

FAQ

Do players need to download anything?

No. Scan the QR code and play in the browser. No app, no account, no signup.

How many players do we need?

At least 4. Up to 12. The mafia count scales with group size automatically.

Can we play with just one phone?

Yes — hotseat mode. Add each player's name, then pass the phone around. Private prompts appear one player at a time; everyone else looks away.

Who narrates the game?

The host screen does. Night and day run automatically — no human narrator needed.

Can other players see my role?

No. Roles are sent only to their owner. They're revealed publicly only on elimination or at game end.

What if someone's phone locks mid-game?

Their seat is remembered — reopening the page rejoins the same seat automatically.
