Free online object counter
This object counter uses an AI object detection model directly in your web browser. Point a phone or computer camera at a scene, or upload a photo, and the tool identifies supported objects and keeps a running count.
How to count objects with your camera
- Tap Start Camera and allow camera access.
- Point your camera at the objects you want to count.
- The detector draws boxes around recognized objects.
- See the total number of detected objects and the count for each object type.
What can it count?
The underlying model recognizes common everyday categories including people, cars, bicycles, motorcycles, buses, trucks, animals, bottles, cups, bowls, chairs, couches, beds, tables, laptops, phones, books and many other categories.
Privacy and limitations
The detection happens locally in your browser once the model has loaded. Camera access is controlled by your browser. The tool is intended for convenience rather than precision measurement: detections can be missed or misclassified, especially with small, hidden, blurry, crowded or unusual objects.

What can the Object Counter detect?
It recognizes common object categories from the model's training set, including people, vehicles, animals and many everyday items.
Does the tool upload my camera feed?
No server upload is required for the actual detection. Frames are processed in your browser after the AI model has loaded.
Can I count objects in a picture?
Yes. Select Upload Image and the tool will analyze the selected photo.
Why are some objects missed?
AI object detection has limitations. Lighting, distance, occlusion, image quality and unusual viewpoints can reduce detection accuracy.
