Free PDF compression in your browser
This tool uses a browser-only workflow to render PDF pages and rebuild them at a selected image quality. It is useful when you need a smaller PDF for email, uploads, applications, or online forms.
Important limitation
This approach can turn page content into images, so text may no longer remain selectable/searchable and some PDF features such as forms, annotations, links, bookmarks, and embedded media may not survive. For documents where those features matter, keep the original PDF.
Which compression level should I use?
- Light: prioritize visual quality.
- Balanced: a good starting point for ordinary documents.
- Strong: use when upload limits matter more than fine detail.
- Maximum: use for the smallest practical result.
Privacy
Processing is performed in your browser. The site does not need to upload your PDF to a server for this workflow.
