How this pace calculator works
Pace = time ÷ distance, shown as minutes and seconds per km (or mile). Speed = distance ÷ time. Race predictions assume you hold the same pace — real races include fatigue, hills, and fueling, so treat longer predictions as optimistic targets.
Common uses
- Work out the pace you need to hit a 5K or marathon goal time.
- Convert pace between km and miles.
- Pair it with the heart rate zone calculator to train in the right intensity band.
- Estimate calories burned with the calorie calculator.
