A wireless mic, from your phone.
Turn your phone into a live microphone and hear it on a laptop, speaker, or any number of devices across the room — no app, no setup, and you can record what listeners hear.

How Audio Link works
- Choose Be the microphone on your phone and allow microphone access.
- A room code and QR code appear. Open this page on the laptop, tap Be a listener, and scan the QR or type the code.
- Audio streams live from the phone to the laptop (and to any other listener who joins). Start talking.
- On the listener, hit Record to capture the feed and download it as a WebM file.
Great for
- Turning your phone into a wireless mic for talks
- Voice monitoring across a room
- Recording a phone as a remote mic (podcast, notes)
- Class presentations and Q&A
- Multiple people listening to one speaker
Good to know
Live & low latency. Audio moves device-to-device over WebRTC after a short PeerJS handshake — typically under a second on good WiFi.
Nothing is uploaded. There is no server or cloud storage; audio travels directly between your browsers and disappears when you stop.
One microphone, many listeners. The phone shares one live feed; every listener in the room hears the same stream.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an app on either device?
No. Both devices run in the browser.
Can several people listen at the same time?
Yes. Any number of listeners can join one room and all hear the same live audio.
Can I record what I hear?
Yes — any listener has a Record button and downloads a WebM file.
Is my audio stored anywhere?
No. It flows directly over WebRTC and is gone when the tabs close.
Will it work without internet?
The two devices need internet (or to reach the PeerJS signaling service) once to connect; after that audio flows directly between them over your network.
